Happy Picture Monday!!

Usually the pictures I post are all fashion based and consist of fashion photography, but I decided to add something a little different at the bottom this time. When I come across amazing pictures such as these, they inspire me in so many ways. They inspire future artistic ideas that I allow to brew away in my brain for a future project that I want to do. I love fashion photography, I think the ability of the photographer to capture the essence of the art piece that the model is wearing and their ability to evoke a powerful emotion in the viewer is an art within itself. The feeling I get from looking at fashion photography also wouldn't be possible without the amazing models that use their body to speak to the camera to help create art.

I love this piece because of how dramatic it is. I think the fact that it is in black and white play a huge part to that drama and the way the model has created angles with her body aids to this interesting piece.

This image is fun to look at. I love the model's face and her expression. Her eyes bring you in and then you follow the ridge of her face down to the buttons that along her neck and chest. I think this is a very creative way to send a message.

This piece reminds me of a fairy tale that has gone wrong in some way. I love that it has a dark and sinister attribute to it because it allows your imagination to explore the story behind this piece. I feel like this could be a story of Hansel and Gretel, but maybe a chapter that was left out of the book. I think the red Vivienne Westwood style hair helps the model bring you in further to the picture;and I'm actually noticing her more than I notice him.

What I like most about this picture is how the dresses are created. They aren't whole;missing pieces in obvious places. I appreciate the model's modeling the dress as if it were a beautiful ball gown and nothing was odd about the creation of the dress at all. The model's ability to do that makes the viewer feel confident that the dress is just as it should be and is perfectly normal the way it is. I'm not sure if I would ever wear them to a gala, but these women wear them very well.

I decided to stick this picture in because I think it's simply beautiful. I am a huge fan of color; bright, bold, and pastels. I love them all! So naturally when I saw this it made me feel emotionally very happy. I like looking at artwork that evokes a pleasant response from me. It's nothing more than flower arrangements placed upon a table with a background that is hard to make out, but what I love most about it is that I would enjoy this in my house or backyard. I would love to have these flowers and this setting because of the ambiance that they create. This type of art piece is something that I would use to inspire me when I am styling photo shoots because I love the fun, easiness, color, and whimsical aspect of it and I would translate that into my work.
