I don't know a women around that doesn't love Adele and respect her as an artist. I personally think she is an amazing artist and I enjoy listening to the uniqueness of her voice. Another fan of Adele is Karl Largerfeld. Lagerfeld was interviewed by Metro Newspaper where he expressed his opinion about the soulful singer Adele  as well as Michelle Obama. Lagerfeld statement's about Adele was less than honorable and is being greeted by a lot of bad press and upset Chanel supporters. Lagerfeld was quoted saying, ""The thing at the moment is Adele. She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice." This statement made by Lagerfeld has created an uproar and he is being greeted with more negativity than he anticipated I'm sure. He later goes on to formally apologize in the Metro yesterday stating, ""I'd like to say to Adele that I am your biggest admirer. Sometimes when you take a sentence out of the article it changes the meaning of the thought. What I said was in relation to Lana Del Rey and the sentence has since been taken out of context from how it was originally published. I actually prefer Adele, she is my favorite singer and I am a great admirer of her. I lost over 30 kilos over 10 years ago and have kept it off. I know how it feels when the press is mean to you in regards to your appearance. Adele is a beautiful girl. She is the best. And I can't wait for her next CD." I feel bad for Adele that her weight had to be made a public spectacle in this way. I think she is just fine the way that she is and i think it is a poor message to be sending young women of the world. Lagerfeld also made a statment about Michelle Obama saying, "I'm a big fan of Mrs. Obama -- and her face, I think, is magical. He would not be there without her. Mrs. Obama is not a fashion statement, but she has other things to do. My favorite thing about Mrs Obama was when she was asked if her skirt was not too tight and she answered "Why you don't like my big black ass?" I want [Barack] Obama to win because there is nothing better anyway, and especially because of her." This statement was much more accepting because he did not bash anyone, but I do disagree with him quoting Michelle Obama statements about her derriere; I do not believe those were the exact words that she used. I love the Chanel brand and I am continually impressed by Lagerfeld and his creations every year, but the statement about Adele most definitely does make him lose some respect from me. I think when you have as much power and influence as he does in this world, it is your moral obligation to refrain from making horrible comments like these and to focus more on empowering women.
